Vendetta Two vendetta speed run builds

Here’s a few pics of my two vendetta cars I’m speed running with. I have continuing build threads in the speed demons category but will add updates here as well

The first one I ran this fall and managed 145mph before winter hit.

Setup is :
Mmx8s
Tp4050cm motor 3200kv
Killmode cap pack
Cnhl 5000mah 6s battery
Mod 1 gears 27/36
Metal diff and input gears,
Added custom carbon aero
Full custom carbon under tray
Bsr foam tires
17mm typhon 3s hexes
Limited shocks with droop screws and rubber line
Futaba 3pv remote with range extender.


The second one I haven’t run yet but is built from ground up:
Lwb chassis
Xlx2 custom carbon mount
Tp4070scm motor
Typhon wide arms/17mm hubs
Limitless rear shocks
Modified front shocks.
Emp battery trays
Custom mod 1 gears
Metal diff and input gears
Delta plastic full carbon body

The 4070cm I have in my limitless screams. I’m excited to hear this one

New spools built so between the two cars I have a 32,34,36,38 spools

Is the vendetta a smooth rolling car? like a limitless or lots of resistance? my infraction mega barely rolls if pushed nor free rolling at all.

That’s interesting.
I will say I played with the front and rear diffs a lot to get them really smooth. It took some tinkering.
With everything hooked up minus a battery it will still roll about 5 feet doing the same kind of roll test that i do with my limitless. Feels like no binding or resistance
I would check the front and rear diffs. My yolks were too tight and had shims I needed to remove

Worked on fitting a 1/8th fc100 body for this second vendetta build.
It’ll be done with full carbon fiber tomorrow.

Nice!!! I'm trying to add some more speed to mine as well. Does anyone know how big of a motor will fit into the stock motor mount system?

Anything with a 25mm bolt pattern.
I’m running the 4070 motor in this second one I’m building which is quite long so I had to remove the receiver box

The tp motor 4050cm is a insane motor for this car.
That’s what I did my 145mph pass on 6s and I did 117 on 4s
I also believe with my current gearing a 4s run will be around 130mph right now

Completed the carbon body and made the wings for it as well today. I’m so close to testing this second build.

Learning experience building my first one.
If I build another one I will use the honeycomb carbon because it is better laced then the regular carbon. You can see the light coming thru the regular carbon areas and the honeycomb is solid

Went out on Wednesday with the stock body vendetta and broke an axle during the beginning of the the run. I kept trying to correct as it was steering to one side and then aborted the run.
No crashes tho.
Repairing for Sunday and hoping to finally crack 150.

New personal best today with the stock body vendetta.
So close to my 150 goal with this chassis.

Esc fan broke and hit high temp cutoff but got the car to reboot and brought it back

Got the wings fitted. Redid the shocks to make them a little stiffer and trimmed the wheel wells just a little more.

ran both cars today. Broke axle on one and driveshaft on the other during the runs. More to come

Making a few changing to the stock body car today. Trying out the hot racing servo saver to see if I can tell a difference keeping the car straight.
Decided to shuffle my esc’s around:
Mmx8s I had in this I added a fanwercs fan plus a small battery and it had a cap pack, the weight was adding up. Decided to move the carbon car Xlx2 into this car,
Moved my open wheel limitless Xlx2 into the carbon car.
My open wheel limitless will get a new esc maybe when towerhobbies does one of the 180$ Xlx2 sales.
