Typhon 3s cracking noise.

Hello crew.

After collision with the wall, I had to replace the spur gear but now with a metal one with the same number of teeth, the pinion gear (same) and the entire engine mount and I noticed that my typhon started making a loud cracking noise when I drive slowly, of course at higher speeds you can not hear it anymore.
I do not know why, do you have any suggestions?

Hey, I’m still new to Rc but I’m having a similar problem with my V3 Kraton. I changed my rear input gear cause it was noticeable damaged. It helped with the noise. I’m guessing the diff gear that’s meshing the input gear is a bit damaged. Gonna replace that and it should fix it completely.

Did you replace the pinion gear with a hardened steel unit? That itty bitty gear will shred itself if you replaced it with a stock unit if you try to use it with a steel spur for long.

Get a Robinson racing pinion gear. Duperbash proof?

Oh I was talking about the rear input gear that meshes with the diff gear.
The pinion and spur gear on my kraton is already hardened steel. But it’s good to hear that they will last long XD
