I’m doing a little more modifying to my on going project Typhon 6S V4. I am installing a Castle 1515-2200KV motor and I’m pairing it with a Castle Mamba Monster 2. I am going to be running this buggy on 6S. Stock pinion is 14T for this buggy I believe. I was running a 16T pinion on the stock BLX185 setup with motor fans. I run a Power Hobby dual fan setup on the motor.

Can I safely get away with running a 16T pinion on this setup? Is there another pinion I should look at or go back to stock? Anyone with this setup? Thanks for any suggestions.

Well, you’ll be going up in KV a little so I’d start back with the 14, monitor temps, analyze speed and decide if it’s ok to go up.

O nice setup on both. Well at least the Typhon got some rubber sealed bearings it deserved ?. Thanks for the information. I have a EB48.4 but I have a different setup. Trinity D8.5 2000kv motor 17T pinion/44T spur it goes good on 4S light weight like you mentioned makes a lot of difference! I might start at stock tooth and go up from there monitor the temps

ill do that, stock and go up as needed, it might be fast enough for where I run it with the uptick in KV. Thanks
