Typhon Typhon ESC placement

With my ESC on top of my receiver box, the corner of my ESC actually bulges out on the outside of my shell. I was just wondering if anybody has run their ESC between the receiver box and the motor?

And also what is the disadvantage to doing this other than more potential to get drenched in real wet conditions?

I actually prefer the esc between the receiver box and the motor as it lowers the center of gravity of the car. The disadvantage is that you have to remove the esc to get the motor module out of the car.
