Hey all,

I recently joined the 6s club (huuuge jump from 2s mini trucks) and im really into custom building RCs. I am looking into it, and i don't really see much of any difference between the typhon chassis and the talion chassis. would it be possible to just put the talion arms on it to “truggify” it?

i beat the snot out of my trucks, so im wondering if there are stronger alternatives for the arms as well?

Many thanks in advance, i just don't want to order the parts and have them end up being the wrong ones or have them end up not fitting up.

Short wheelbase 330mm chassis with wide Talion arms is basically a Notorious or Outcast with narrower stubs.

A Talion is 378mm wheelbase, Notorious Arms, medium stub/hubs like the Fireteam.

The proper way to make a Typhon a "Truggy" is by using Mojave arms/towers/shocks/roll bars/Axles. Implementing adapters or wide stub/hubs is a poor man’s bandaid and will have weak suspension articulation with bigger tires.

Majority of all components in the 6S lineup are interchangeable.

That's what allows for SO Many customization opportunities in the Arrma models! 💥👊

this is all very good to know, ill keep this all noted. Didnt understand the difference in length between the chassis, ill take a peek at some racing chassis.

Noted, I’ll stock up on a few for the time being. would aftermarkets keep them stocked? new to the aftermarket ecosystem of RC, coming from cars and motorcycles.

You can do that. Difference is the chassis length. You'll need talion driveshafts as well.
Would i need different chassis reinforcement?

Kraton driveshafts work. Flip them around. Front to rear, rear to front. The location of the motor mount of the Talion is further back than the Kraton & Kraton driveshafts can be used. Same p/n's for both rigs.

^ Thx for the knowledge. I got into Arrmas right around the time the Talion was discontinued so I had never really compared the specifics of the Talion like I have with the other 6s rigs they still sell.

I have a Notorious & a Kraton. I have a bare Talion EXB chassis I'm going to build another rig soon with all the spare parts I've accumulated. I got the last Talion EXB chassis jennysrc.com had.

Yes. I bought a couple of RED Arrma Tower Sets at a reasonable price.

Aftermarket are twice the price+ and cant find any in RED.
