Arrma RC's
  1. Typhon 6s
Hi Im looking at buying some carbon fibre shock towers for my typhon 6s. I don't want alum ones. Only running at parks etc no jumps. Has anyone else fitted some before thanks

I just made my own carbon fibre front shock tower with a lower profile for my Typhon speed runner.

Just bought some carbon fibre from eBay, used my old Arrma shock tower for the basic shape/hole positions and then made the rest to look/fit how I wanted.
Basic tools ~ drill, drill bits, Dremel with sanding barrels.

Just got them fitted guess I will see how they hold up

The carbon fibre ones are a lot thinner and you’d think much lighter than the markhor overkill aluminium shock towers which are also more expensive and not in stock...

so im thinking of getting the carbon fibre and was just wonder if others have them from markhor and how solid they are..

Good to hear they’ve stood up to punishment for you..

If I upgrade to the M2C chassis on my Kraton, I might also do the Makor carbon towers to help lighten the thing up a bit. Please keep us posted on your experience with them

i’ve got an M2C chassis in the mail on its way to me along with a few other update parts and shock towers are the only things i haven’t settled on..

M2C was as dear as poison but i figured that if im gonna send this thing i might as well give it the best chance to survive the stuff ups that are definately going to happen given my driving skills!... also make sure you use the discount code thats provided on their page as it saves you $30.. i nearly missed it!..

I haven't even got my Kraton yet either!... i’ve pre-ordered it so ive paid for it.. just waiting for it to arrive in the country..

OMP/Modelflight, who are the wholesaler/retailer that supply all the Arrma stuff to Australia, have shown the 2019 Kraton as “ETA 16th Jul” then it changed to “ETA 22nd Jul” and now is saying “ETA 24 Jul”..

So hopefully they arent far away!.. but i ordered mine from Crazy hobbies because they were $30 cheaper so it might take a little longer than if i hadve gone through modelflight..
