It makes sense why it's so heavy because it still utilizes all the beefy parts that you would expect from a typical ARRMA 6S (heavy driveshafts all around, tires need to go, the stock spektrum electronics are heavy and you should run racing 4S LiHV batteries like gensacearespammers Redline).
The stock shocks are just "soft" because lighter springs on the regular Typhon. The included "TLR" shocks on the Typhon TLR are better in every way as the CNC machined delrin shock pistons and shock guides are unique to pro racing kits. I have no complaints. "Softer" and "More bite" is more setup base than just the shocks - it's the sum of all of its parts. Also the stock springs on the Typhon TLR are unbalanced and too softs overall for its weight. Even with all of the weight taken off, it still weighs 300g more than my Tekno EB48 2.1 in full racing form.
