Arrma RC's
  1. Kraton EXB
  2. Mojave EXB
  3. Typhon 3s
  4. Typhon 6s
  5. Voltage
First let me say, Arrma reminds me So Much of Schiit Audio!
If you Like great sounding Audio (though speakers or headphones) thats affordable and fun to own, so you have more for your RC's then you Need to own some Schiit Audio! its not expensive in Audiophile terms and this stuff gives up allot of Fidelity for the $$$. Just remember its a piece of schiit. Everyone should own a piece of schiit audio.

ARRMA is Just SO Great to Work on!
Im afraid of Traxxas  i just don't have that much time left to give up.

So Im close to having all the parts for a Kraton 6S available. (Thank you JRC!)
Stock parts im still missing are these and I can go Kraton or Talion.
- Differentials and Blocks (all 3)
- Shocks (F/R)
- Shock-Towers (F/R)
- Body shell

Right now I have and will be using Typhon BLX Differentials and Shock Towers. Mohave & Typhon Shocks. Typhon Body Shell. A Truggy in different phases.

But Im 80% from having my Typhon 6S back as a roller too LOL
So I might as well get another car out of all this in one way or another. Id like to get the XLWB chassis for the Typhon. Another project... I digress.

Im torn between Talion towers/shocks and body over Kraton.
As a Truggy I can also go with shorter A-arms then them, and keep it more buggy, I'll decide as I use it. But im set on building either a Kraton or Talion type.

My Question to you guys is about Differentials for the Typhon/Kraton/Truggy. Since I have a set of Typhon 6S BLX Difs and will eventually buy another set for a build Im wondering if I should stick with the Typhon ones im using or what-else can/should I try. Kraton? Talion?
From experience, whats a Fun balance running grass, dirt and parks. Gravel and street, curbs. I'll be running 2.8 and 3.8 tires in both on and off road treads.

Kraton:
c 12t/50t
f/r 43t/10t
Internal Gear: 4.3
Final Drive: 17.92:1

Talion:
c 15t/50t
f/r 42t/10t
Internal Gear: 4.3
Final Drive: 14.33:1

Typhon:
c 18t/50t (16/50 stock)
f/r 43t/13t
Internal Gear: 3.3
Final Drive: 10.31:1

Talion and Kraton use the same diffs. They have spiral cut gears and are stronger. Typhon has straight cut gears which are fine for on road or smaller tires.

I DO love the sound of straight cut gears though.
I never even knew there was a difference in the sound haha

I'd like to use this Kraton front brace and a center brace and raise the body up a little too in the front.

This is nearly perfect except - no

I can cut a new hole and reinforce from behind but any other options?

I really want a "Buggy" body on a Kraton.

Im going to go with new DIFs F/R on this build. I want the Typhon ones for another build.
Im not overly concerned about the straight cut durability overall BUT I do want to run Large Tires between 150-200mm diam.

Question is LSD/GP4 or Not?

KRATON, OUTCAST, TALION, MOJAVE EXBs all seem to use the same Difs. And the BLX's are not LS but otherwise the same.
I don't want a center LSD.

I assume I can mix and match EXB and BLX Differentials well enough?

Fly's over Grass better than ever. Nice distance and travel for rough, not as tall as a Kraton but taller than a Talion (i believe).

Still just 11.15 lbs. (5066 gm)

FRONT im now running Typhon Rear shocks (54mm / 59.5mm shafts, 1x2x8 pistons, 1000cst) with 85mm 6.2lb/in springs.
REAR im still running Mohave Rear shocks (61mm / 73.5mm shafts, 1x4x8 pistons, 800cst) with 110mm 3.2lb/in) springs.

You can totally run a normal center diff. My talion has EXB LSD front and rear and infraction center diff and it runs great. I also have the same setup in my mojave.

Are you using Mojave arms on your Typhon?

Kraton Arms and Hubs.
And the Mojave uses same as Typhon Hubs which are also a bit smaller.

I Like this Buggy Graphic Better :)
