Hi guys I’ve just finned a 29T pinion onto my Typhon v5 (stock spur gear) does this sound right? In the video… it was really hard to get any decent mesh

To move the pinion away from the spur? It can freely move more away…. It just seems to get a good mesh is a bit of a headacheKnotch out your motor mount so it can slide more to the right to give you more clearance. Use a dremel or small drill bit
Exactly, iv got a 46t spur and put a 26t on my noto for a speed run and it was tight had to dremmel just a tish off itI don’t know how you were able to get both mounting screws in without grinding the mount. The largest I have seen is 24T, and that requires some grinding. 23T is said to be the max without any modifications.
What’s a mod 1 pinionYou sure you have a mod 1 pinion?
So grind it open more toward the outside of the car? But that means il be sliding the pinion further away from the spur so it won’t make any contactI don’t know how you were able to get both mounting screws in without grinding the mount. Just out of curiosity what happens if I run 0.8 instead of 1? I’ve installed 0.8 but not ran it yet. I will remove the 0.8Run a mod 1 pinion only
It'll destroy both gears!Just out of curiosity what happens if I run 0.8 instead of 1? I’ve installed 0.8 but not ran it yet. I will remove the 0.8
Ah okay lolIt'll destroy both gears!
Tooth size!Ah okay lol
What is the difference between 0.8 and 1 what does the size refer to?
Ah right thanks for the info!Tooth size!
Yeah I had to dremel alsoI don’t know how you were able to get both mounting screws in without grinding the mount. The largest I have seen is 24T, and that requires some grinding. 23T is said to be the max without any modifications.
