Hey all,

Was having a hard time find much information on this.

I've done a fair amount of physical upgrades to my Typhon, now I want to change some ESC settings and I'm looking for advice.

I swapped my shocks for the the TLX shocks and have 80 weight in them, diffs are 60/500/30 with M2C drive shafts.

I want to up my breaks from the default 37.5% to either 50% or 62.5%. For punch, stock is 4 and I'm not sure what I can up it to without risking breaking anything. I originally was thinking punch 6 or 7 to be able to help break the back end loose at speed to help drift when I want to. I think I have fairly good throttle control now so I'm not too worried about giving it too much on launch.

Wanted to get some thoughts on what would work well and see what y'all have done with yours.

Thank you!

For brakes, I up them till they skid on the highest traction surface I run on, then back down 1.
Punch you can keep upping on that rig as you want. I prefer higher for standstill start and drifts. If I can spin tires from a standstill in grass, I'm usually happy. No need to push it higher than needed once you get the feel you want though.
Both will increase temps.

Everybody handles trigger input and specific terrain differently, find out what works best for your variables through trial and error. There’s a reason it’s set up box stock as is attempting to accommodate the “average”.

Don’t overthink, enjoy and Thanks for your service 🙏

Judging by your profile picture I'm assuming this is for off road. With brakes I typically run mine at 75% for off road and for punch I set mine at 7. With punch it really comes down to throttle control. You can run it higher and go easier on throttle, or you can run it lower and pull the trigger faster. I prefer higher punch and more careful throttle control unless I'm bashing where the traction is low, then I might dial it down as low as 4 or 5.

Good information here. What do you guys use to program the ESC..just using the transmitter or a programing tool?

Does Spektrum have a bluetooth device for programing the esc on the fly like the CC blue-link?
