I hit 81mph with 25T pinion, stock spur. X1 5000mAh 6s 100s Spektrum battery and 53/107 silver HOONS along with a low drag wing (the side wings came off during a tumble 😂)

but without breaking the bank what else can I do to get 100mph?
Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you

I got 91 on 29/46 6s 5000 50c with 2200 6s castle set up. Not sure if you can gear 29/50 maybe 27pinion but its worth a shot. I heard guys hitting 100 on stock but don't remember pinion size.

You are going to need taller gearing. Your motor mount probably won’t fit a much larger pinion with a 50T spur, so a spool from a limitless will be the easiest way to get the gearing you need for 100 mph. Your next issue is probably going to be the esc. The stock blx / firma 150A esc cuts out just below 100 mph for a lot of people. I’m just getting into a little speed running, so I am no expert. I’ve just read a lot of build logs while starting to work on my setup.

thanks for the info guys!
I am running stock ESC
please can somebody point me in the right direction for a limitless spool gear? I live in the UK...
Cheers

The stock ESC will likely be your biggest hurdle TBH. The stock motor will take you well beyond 100mph. The gearing and tires are something you need to play with as well, but that’s part of the game. I would get some decent foam tires instead, like BSR Purples. Buy yourself a center spool from a Limitless so you can play with wider gear ratios. Also, you can jump up your FD quite a bit by swapping out your F/R diffs to GP5 diffs from the Infraction V2.

Think of this as an expensive road you are about to turn down. This isn’t for the timid or guys with a tight budget. I don’t want to dissuade anyone from speed running, but I want you to understand before you jump in with both feet. ✌🏻
