Arrma RC's

Not been on for a while due holiday and other things. While I was away I took the car to a LHS and let them loose on it.

All diffs have fresh oil and gears, the chap only did front and back as I did the middle one previously. This sorted the issue with it not putting power down.

Got the pinion to sit right with the spur and all was going well until I hit a kerb hiding behind some long grass 😡

Pissed off last night so the scorched mount is out and put the old one back in. So much easier to access the grub screw for the pinion. Ordered new grub screws, new standard motor mount as I'm sure this ones a bit bet. Red loctite is going to be applied so the thing doesn't move!

I’d have to significantly bend a chassis to damage a v5 motor mount, not sure the hobby shop installed it correctly because it should be stronger due to material alone.
Have a picture of the mount?
Most have multiple rigs for problems like you're having. Instead of the LHS fixing your RC, you should. Saves money and you get to see how they work.

I know how to do it mate but I didn't have time as I was away and wanted it ready for when I got back

I'll get a picture later as I need to ask a question about the standard pinion and the bolts. Better explained with images

Right... So scorched out and old mount in with old narrow pinion. I bought a new pinion a while ago but.. I can't install the engine mount bolts on the top as it hits the pinion.

Not sure what to do, buy a new skinny pinion which I'm not sure where from (UK) or keep running this old one which was alright yesterday.

Bought these which makes me think the ones I had wasn't factory. Don't seem to have the two bolt holes on the factory one which might be a disadvantage

Wrenching is part of the fun. I would rather have a blind pig with no arms work on my rig then any hobby shop employee. Just me.

Video or it didn’t happen…

That looks like a Team or Losi motor mount you had. 🗑️

Grab an alloy h-support so you don’t have threads stripping from being plastic.

Just a little update on the issues I've been having for a long time now. Managed to get out today after changing the motor mount back to an original kraton one and changing all diffs. Car runs spot on ☺

Need to look into some upgrades for steering as it turns like a boat at the moment even with a different servo in. Just glad it's working and I can finally have some fun with me lad. Thanks for all the help and suggestions.
