Morning,
After having the shock cap come off the shock what I believe is the second time, forgot which shock did it last. I am looking to change out the shocks. Is there any cross over within reason to newer models? Don’t mind using readily available current parts. If not, any suggestions?
Thanks

Thank you. Very helpful. But my shocks are not 3S shocks. This is the discontinued Granite. My shocks look different and that was what I was getting at. I will picture mine below. Can I use 3S shocks on this? Please let me know what options I have.
Thanks

I did buy new shock bodies from Arrma and new caps from Amazon. Used factory part numbers to find them. Body is AR330305. Cap is AR330227. Body in stock, caps discontinued. I at least have some spares. Will look into more spare parts for the shocks if there are not any other options.

You'll need to measure your shock lengths and find matching 3S shocks to do direct replacements..

I don't own the Discontinued Granite to verify ,sorry.

No problem. That link will be very useful for my Senton. Great info there and I truly appreciate it.

Unfortunately all of the good shocks that used to fit are no longer available. Anything you will find these days are the cheap Chinese bling shocks that are completely useless for anything other than a shelf queen. The rears are easy as you can just use Traxxas Ultra Shocks or Traxxas Big Bore shocks. Unfortunately the fronts are a bit of an odd size so finding something that fits correctly can be a bit tricky https://www.arrmaforum.com/threads/affordable-1-10-scale-aluminium-shock-upgrade.67/

Thank you. I believe I saw the page you linked last time I was looking for shocks. Also thanks for the tip for the rears. I have a local shop that does mostly Traxxas, so guess I could always bring the Granite to them and see what can fit..

Again, thanks for the link, it will be helpful,

It looks like a few guys in that thread got the Traxxas fronts to work.
