Kraton Upper hinge pin, the question of the day.

David (Scorched RC) has stopped shipping any parts containing titanium or carbon fiber to the U.S. because of the tariffs. Those materials apparently don’t come from the U.K. (their titanium trees mostly all died in the drought last year) and he said it’s too difficult to properly document a component that contains materials sourced from outside the U.K.
And yeah, that sucks. His best offerings are now unobtainium to us crazy Americans.
I was looking for a carbon limitless gt chassis and see those are no longer available 😔

I got three a few months ago (two SWB annd one Limitless GT) and I’m so glad I did. I hope this all blows over soon.

Two weeks ago I got 2 Scorched Parts Ti ackerman plates? Today I can't find them on his site.
Yea I'm glad I got my stuff when I did.
I have a feeling things will be back to normal soon enough. 🤞

I have the EXB hinge in both my 6s and I use M3x3 set screws with a dab of blue, the 1.5mm hex driver or Allen key is all the torque you need IMO.

Personally it's easier on the eyes, I never could stand the look of the standard screws sticking out like Shrek's ears. Also because they're too long it seems like a fine way to strip the threads. Custom 3D printed shims or spacers take up the slack, but off the shelf washer shims work too.
