has anyone tried putting the Typhon front and rear suspension arms on the granite yet for a wider stance????

found some traaxas arms that fit... mostly. see below. I went ahead and bought a couple of pair because I figured if I can get them to fit then I can use them in a pinch. Usually have to wait three or four days to get new arms from anywhere else

They should go right on, you’ll need the Typhon turn buckles also. The shafts are the same.

they will fit, I have not tried it yet, as I am still awaiting a new front a-arm for my Typhon.

I was at lhs today and was looking at some RPM traaxas slash and stampede arms that are very similar. Ended up buying them. Had to drill out the ends a little bit to receive the pins that the Granite uses to attach to the frame and hub assembly. Also had to drill a hole for the keeper screw. Could probably buzz off a little bit of material where the shocks mount up. The bottom spring mount plate hits the arm slightly. I'll upload some pictures later.

This is awesome stuff. I have a few of these lying around from failed Traxxas clunkers. They become unbreakable noodles with a bit of wd40. The Typhon needs them the worst though. It's arms have zero flexibility, same goes for the Granite. I'm going to need 14 arms for all 7 trucks. I've found 8 so far. RPM should just make more Arrma arms but they won't budge, yet they keep on dumping out Traxxas garbage. I wonder whose pocket they're in this time :cautious:

Wow very nice! How are the Slash arms holding up? I have a bunch of these lying around in the garage as well.....hmmmmm

I have not had a chance to run them very much. but they seem to be better than running with an arm that is split on one side. it's not a perfect solution but I'm gonna run the hell out of it later today and find out for sure. in the pictures you can see that the rim arms don't fully take up all the given space where they heet the chassis. but the ends meet the outside edges of the chassis so I didn't see a need for a spacer

the shop I was has a pretty small selection. I was hoping to find some for the rear also. gonna head to HobbyTown tomorrow and see what they have

so I had a chance to go out an run the piss out of them. I was really abusive. did probably at least 50 flips on some pretty sketchy piles of dirt. landed maybe a third of them. the others were pretty rough landings. in the first picture I was hitting the first hill, clearing the 2nd and trying not to smash the 3rd hill when landing. messed it up half the time and didn't break an arm. 2nd picture is a much taller hill. flipping off it and trying not to tumble down the huge hill in 3rd picture. had a few rough tumbles though.

All in all they worked great. no issues at all.
