Tearing down my Kraton v4 entirely for the first time. I want to empty and refill my diffs and shim them.

What is the stock cst viscosity for the diffs?

many suggestions on “upgrades” or changes to the weights?

almost always it’s used as a backyard basher. Everything is stock besides some aluminum braces. Thanks in advance guys.

I did search, and saw 5 billion different answers. I’m just looking for a simple answer on what’s in there from the factory, and a reasonable answer for a change.

Stock: F10k C100k R10k
Bashing: F100k C500k R50k

The reason for the thicker fluid is to distribute power to each wheel more evenly instead of allowing one wheel to “diff out” which means all the power goes to the wheel with the least traction. This causes tires to blow apart or off the rim. For me, it also causes instability due to one wheel growing larger (ballooning) and tipping my rigs. I want more of a traditional AWD style where at least front to rear is balanced.

Thank you guys for the info. I will try those suggestions.

Should I order new seals or are the stock ones good for a change or two?

Seals/Gaskets for the diff cup should last a few changes, the more frequent you redo your diffs the longer they'll last ya.
