so figured I'd start a build thread as it won't be left stock for even 24hrs?. First upgrades for the build HR aluminum ez mount diff cover and ez diff mount. Also pulling diffs and changing fluids to 20k/500k/50k R/C/F. **Heads up already pulled center and it's less than half full**

so remember to always check your new rigs!!

Smart man. Gotta always check those new diffs.
Leave nothing to chance on these NRTR's.

Edit:
To me its obvious that they fill these diffs too fast during assembly. If they filled them properly, it would take them too long and slow down their "fast assy" process.
Or they are just saving money by not filling them up.
Or the just want us to brick these diffs and guaranty more purchased parts from us.
Or maybe all of the above. ;)
Definitely a pattern here.

Thanks for sharing.

500k in center diff

18t pinion for a little more pep in it's step

Alright so got front diff out, not much grease inside the gearbox and again less than half full of oil?. Going with 50k over 10k stock oil weight.

Only money I'll ever send to Traxxass is for diff oil, and didn't want to but couldn't find anything else at the time

Good setup. They all wake up. Everyone says so. Less diffing out, less power bleed from the rear to the front. Less wheelies. I usually put 20 or 30k in the rear. I try to keep the Front oil aprox. double that of the rear. Seems to keep the rig balanced Steering wise. I just think Stock 10k is too thin in the rear also. Much more diff wear IMO. But that can be personal preference. We all drive different and in different terrain. (y)
The above assumes talking about V4 and V5 diffs. Not the EXB LSD's! LSD's tune differently.

Alright got the new v5 Typhon out for a maiden bash around the property today. Ran it a little bit all stock in the front yard but just to get the feel. With diff fluids changed and 18t pinion it definitely gave it some more pep and way better handling ? anyways here's the maiden run on my property ?

How well does the body fit with the fans mounted?
Fits just fine but I also raised the body to be able to run dual 3s packs so my posts sit about 3/4" higher than stock

Nice! I got mine a few days after you but haven’t changed anything, yet. I was unsure about the batteries since I just ordered them from Amazon, but nice to see someone else running the same.

If you ordered dual packs you will have to make some changes to either the mounts like I did or as @Mr.Duke did and cut the battery tray and remove the front catch piece?

Trimmed up the RPM front bumper to fit over the bigger bump in the new chassis's and installed on the new v5 Typhon ?

Ok so I'm tired of the horrible buildup on the rear A arms, tie rods, driveshafts and shocks from the front tires throwing dirt and mud. Going to give this a try and see if it helps deflect the debris away and also keep more out of the inside as well. Plan to order the mudguards but if this works saves some cash as well? It's not the prettiest by any means but if it works I can always paint it to match...

Keep us posted

Did you find some mud guards that fit the Typhon?
There are some on eBay but I might as well just make my own and save the money?

Tomorrow going to swap out the hex's hubs and axles for the longer Kraton set to widen her up a bit
