I was so impressed with mark’s GV on YouTube I had to try the same config myself.
So here she is:

Spektrum S650 servo
Traxxas Velineon 3s system
4ch mini radio and rx(Amazon special)
25t pinion
6200mah 80c 2s lipo
Krylon Short Cuts flat white.

-A couple of light coats of Krylon.
-Tubbed the chassis to accommodate bigger batteries-originally wanted to put the esc and rx in there too but no room.
-Reamed the motor compartment to accommodate the Velineon 3500.
-Velcro’d the ESC and rx in their respective areas.

Ridiculous amounts of power.
Comfortable control at a 1/4 throttle.
Throttle and vector management critical otherwise it just spins and flips.
No stripped gears-Velineon system operates smooth, quiet and efficient.

I LOVE THIS THING!!

Soo much fun!

The GV IS DEFINITELY worth putting some time and $ into-it’s cheap and tons of fun.

Next upgrades are ceramic bearings in the transmission/diff and Fluorescent yellow over the white base coat.
3S maybe?????(yikes!)

Feel free with any ?’s or thoughts.
Thanks for looking.
✌️

That is a crazy amount of power you have put into that truck! Let us know how it holds up.

I have worked on the Granite Voltage's a bunch.. Running stock brushed.

Btw, looks good!

Just a heads up normal spray paint doesn't stick to Lexan very well, it will crack and flake off. And normally you paint the inside of the body.

Thank you!! Ran 2 packs already. I’ve read a lot of guys shred their stock drivetrains once they convert to brushless. So I’m going real easy on the throttle!

Yeah I know. Just trying to make this thing more visible is all…it gets small real quick! I’ve painted the exterior of a couple of lexan bodies with Krylon and it holds up surprisingly well. Most of the flaking occurs by the body clips.
