Do any of you seal the vent holes on your wheels?
In the past, if I wanted them sealed, I would just put a piece of tape over the hole.
I was wondering if any of you had a more permanent way to seal them.

Mahalo! 🤙

Yes I do when I remember too. I use small square of Gorilla tape which is good enough or Sikaflex 221, 252, 522 or 227 for a more permanent solution.

Duct tape on the inner wheel.

And then I drill/melt a couple 1/8” holes in the tire with my dremel at high speed.

And then I balance the tires.

I second the Sikaflex, or even better, Sonolastic NP1, both very good elastomeric caulks.
Things to consider.
Thanks guys!
I have never gone without being helped.
You guys kick ass! 🤙

Yep I use these:

Yep, metal HVAC tape, works great.

I was thinking of pressing some hot glue in there and see if it works.
If its too much of a hassle as the holes are far back, then I'll do the tape thing and be done with it.

So far hot glue has been a bust when trying to get it to actually stick to things..

Just so happens I have a white gorilla tape and the wheels are white. No brainer I think.

I have used shoe goo as well. Also works great 👍
I've done the Shoe goo before...depending on the application (ex. high speed vs crawler) you just need to make sure it doesn't impact your balance too much. Done correctly it "shouldn't"...but it can be difficult to not overapply, which in turn can throw off the balance. But it does seal those holes ;). I use a toothpick as an applicator.

I've gone "both ways";)
They seem to perform better in general when vented, but for winter (snow) I've found sealed to be longer lasting. Foams get wrecked by the moisture even if vented. I also have been known to burn holes through the tires with a pencil tip soldering iron to "vent" the tires.
I've used electrical tape at times, gorilla duct tape too. Also, hot glue, E6000. Basically whatever I have on hand. Though E6000 is my personal fav.
Heck I've even sealed vented tires for snow bashing. I used E6000 to "plug" the vent holes in my Dboots 8s tires, even repair "dog bites" in the tires. That E6000 is crazy good stuff!! I have successfully repaired torn sidewalls with E6000!!
I coat my fingertips with it before pulling off a bank job, no prints!!:sneaky::cool::ROFLMAO:
