After running my brand-new Vorteks 223S at the skate park, I managed to blow the shock cap.

It won't be the end of the world if I can source a replacement part, but they're out of stock everywhere in the UK at the moment.

Can anyone suggest a good metal replacement?

If you can get your hands on any of the other 109mm long shocks from arrma from kit breakers, they will work. Rear from the Vorteks 2wd and 4wd, gorgon, 2wd fury, senton 223 (not previous version) all fit. Theres about 4 different part numbers there for various spring/oil combos, but the bodys are the same. Not sure if there are different part numbers for the body specifically or just the assembled shocks, but worth a lookie.
Fronts from the previous gen senton (not 223), typhon, big rock, and granite will also fit, but will be 9mm shorter.
The rears from the above will also fit, but are ~6mm longer and may prevent the chassis from bottoming out.

Otherwise, maybe an upgrade is due?! 6s front mojave and typhon, or front 4s noto/kraton shocks are about the right size. The 6s shocks will need a bushing or spacer on the upper to fit. Trx, gpm, proline all have better shocks too.

Not all the above will have appropriate oil or springs.

Or change the rear bulkhead cover/shock tower so you can fit longer shocks.
