Warranty worthy?

Upon opening up my new Kraton 6S EXB there was damage to wheel on controller?

Do you consider this warranty worthy?
Part of me says NO because it does not affect function.

The other part of me say YES because you did not drop $1k to get damaged goods.

I would just send Horizon Hobby a support email and open a case. You'll need to provide the usual pieces of info with a picture of the damage. They will likely send you a new radio. I just bought a new rig and the body came with a small piece broken off. I felt the same as you, wondering if it was enough to warrant a complaint. We at least need to get what we pay for. It took a few days and they emailed me saying a new body was on the way.

I think HH won't consider it warranty worthy, but I think it is worth trying.

If it's the factory transmitter, it's little more than trash fodder. If you don't use a main / single transmitter for all of your vehicles, then I can see asking for a replacement. I just threw 5 new ones of those in the trash two days ago. Would have sent you one, drat.

If it came out of the box that way then it's their problem. They sold you a new truck not a used one.

I say they should indeed warranty it, unless you bought it as "open box" or something at a discount. As to whether it's worth making a claim, that's up to you. I imagine it is usable as is, but as someone else said, not what you paid for. Glad to hear HH is taking care of it too.

I concur. Okay for beginners, but really nothing to get excited about. I wish they would at least give the DX3 multi model memory.. I mean we can buy a 10 model radio for $35 these days.. even the TQi can control up to 25 models, at 6v BEC.. TRX needs to join the 21st century already, 6v BEC?
