Can you use a less powerful motor with a more powerful ESC? Like for example a 3652 brushless motor that's for example rated for only 90A with a 120A Max10 SCT? Will it damage the motor or nah?

As long as you stay within the motor RPM range your fine.
Thanks for the reply
So if I use a Max 10 Sct and a 3652 Konect motor on my NIMH and I don't push it too hard it'll be ok? And yes, I know using a NIMH with that is quite cursed

You could in theory run that motor on a Max5 if you wanted to, the esc does not push power into the motor the motor pulls power through the esc from the battery.

If that battery is severely underpowered, like the stock dynamite NIMH, can it damage the capacitors on the ESC then? I've heard that can happen
