Hadn’t ran them
Just hooked em up and set it to balance charge to get some numbers .
They may have charged for just a few minutes but enuf to get the info
Also made some time to put +13 GRP wheel hex hubs and new aluminum rear hubs ….
Hope to cra….. I mean run er this weekend!
After work of course!

I know I’m just doing donuts ….
I sent it into a couple drifts but it’s completely new car to me now
I will have time this weekend to do some suspension tuning….
Handling characteristics are completely different of course !!
Already ordered mor S7s
Am afraid to try the “Choons” as I could see one of them coming apart …..
However….
I wanted to smoke tires and that she does !!!!
Im Aldo already highly considering put the GP6 diff back in the front ….
I’ve never had good driving/drifting with GP5s front and rear using same size tires !
I want the front to pull harder that the rear pushes…
S5 tires front and Gp6 diff front has worked best for myself….
Even S7 all 4
But definitely GP6 in front GP5 rear !

The reason it takes so long to charge your 4s 8000mah lipos is because your charger only does 100w combined on both ports.

Even if you set it to 8amps, it´s only going to be charging at around 3 amps (16.8V x 3A=50,4W x2 =100.8W) on each port when charging both batteries at once.

That also explains the "3 hour" charging time :giggle:

Edit:
You could run the charger on a external DC power supply and get 200W combined which would obivously double your charge rate to about 6A.

I can not wait to upgrade my Infraction. That thing puts on a helluva smoke show for an RC car LOL.

Ok …….
Who makes aftermarket/ indestructible center diff / front diff/ rear diff for the FELONACTION???
Just got it rolling good too …..
Adjusted droop in front and spring height….
Just started shooting straight , and was seeing awsome sparks from rear skid plates for first time , when she squatted under power and then …..
Poof
Center diff said NOOOOO ….
Which has like 3 runs on IT ,,,, not even ……
I realize , now , how much powa this Tp motor has …..
SO somebody gotta make badass diffs!
Maybe, just need aluminum diff housings ?

Rite on I’ll check em out …
I’m no speed runner,
And I was under the understanding spool was for speed runs ???
But if it’ll hold up I’ll run spool in center .

Does this look like it’s seen heat ?

Ima try an aluminum center diff housing maybe change center diff fluid to 200k ?
Idk. …
Prolly should expect some diff failures with my driving “style” 😃

Yes, they’re known to overheat and melt. Go to the metal diff cup in the center. And I know you like the uneven gearing in the front and rear diffs, but this will absolutely wreak havoc with your center diff. If you were to put a spool in the center with uneven gearing like that you’d instantly realize why we have all warned against it. (Not that you should have a spool in a street basher, but the point is if you saw the handling with a spool you’d realize pretty quick what it puts your center diff through.)

Aluminium centre case, properly shim it and maybe think about a heavier fluid so there is less differential action generation heat?

I've just put my first EXB diff in the centre of my Outcast after breaking a standard diff. Could be worth considering one?

Put HR aluminum diff housing in and 500k
Had already burnt up 2st set of GRP s7 so I broke out the CHOONS new in wrap …
My land they don’t compare to the S7 GRPs that’s for sure …
However
Running the choons made me slow down a LITTLE…..
Getting suspension dialed in …
Had the sparks just flying from the Ti rear skids !!!!

Received new set of S7s today
Adjusted droop again slightly…..
Put a bit more preload on front shocks
She still sits a tad higher in front and with GRPs I have about a finger width between front splitter and road …
With GRPs rear skids spark ALOT !!!
She rides pretty low , but these last few adjustments made alot of difference in handling!!!!!!
Temps appear to be decent I guess ???
Motor after beating the chit out of it for 20 mins straight highest I’ve seen is 115 -118
XLX2 stays around 80
On 8S
Center diff is concerning tho
I’ve seen it read 130 plus !
I’m starting to think I’m settling gear mesh too tight .
Temp gun on pinion stays around 80 degrees
But that aluminum diff gets frikin hot !
Tires
Well I’ve seen them read 165+
Lol

Nice! As for the diff temps, you could pull the pinion and roll the chassis, make sure the entire drivetrain downstream from the diff is rolling freely. Car should roll easily and not stop for awhile. I don’t think your temps look too bad after 20 minutes of hooning on 8s, though.

I got her up to 140 !!!!!
Woooo !!!!

That’s temp not mph ! 😀
Just ran her again and blew rear GRPs
I’m not even mad …
In fact … I’m almost, satisfied with her …
I do wish I could get it leveled out suspension wise so fronts would wear and hook like the rears do .
Eventually, I’m sure it figure that part out ..
Ima tell ya its a freakin screamer fer sure !
It very much chits N gets!!!!
I’ve by no means topped her out speed wize …..
I’m definitely having fun with it and soon ima build another one and hopefully she’ll look mo better , craftsmanship wise ….
I really need to service front and rear diffs , but that would mean taking her apart again…..
Meh …. I’ve got a few more sets of tires…… so it may be later than sooner…
That TP motor is definitely putting ALOT of stress on drive train especially with my driving styles😀😀😀😀

Like a little immature kid leaving an unreal amount of black marks on the road !
Giggles !!!!
So have your worries of the past that the motor might not have enough power been assuaged? Is it now performing at or above expectations?
