What are the points for?

I was just wondering what are the points for? On the right of the home page just below my name and avatar It says I have 138 points but what are they for.

those are the parts of your soul you sold to the Devil, ehm @WoodiE ...
they are the amount of money you ow @WoodiE for everytime you use the forum...
its gives an indication of how high your IQ points rise when using @WoodiE 's forum...

or they might just be some points your score for doing things on the forum @WoodiE made us...

@ajdragon points are based on the trophy system. You can learn more about them and how to earn them by clicking on that link, but in short users earn points as they post more, referral people, fill out profile items, basically use the site. Right now just for bragging rights.
