I have a friend who's dad is a professor of psych. He's the only person I've ever known to be able to explain David Lynch's Eraserhead. I don't remember what his story is but he knows it.

Lost Highway is pretty head scratching too. But I love movies that make you think ? Like Memento.

Ive watched Forbidden Planet just last week along with This Island Earth great films!
 
Kings Speech - not sure why, but I really like it and have seen it at least 10 times now.
Matrix Trilogy - first and last are my favorites
Harry Potter series (I don't have kids, but can't not watch these if they are on), I like the last 3 the most.
Deepwater Horizon
Moneyball - again, not sure why, but I keep watching it over and over
