Just ordered a Weller-We1010na Soldering station. Its defiantly a step above what I have. Found some good info here on getting some 63/37 rosin core leaded solder. Next step is getting better at soldering.

Get yourself some Kester. Quality is great, has excellent flow characteristics and the price is reasonable for 1lb. spools. Depending on what you're soldering, 0.03-0.05"diameter works well for pretty much anything RC related. I've seen some reviews on that Weller station and I think you made a really good choice with it.
