I will certainly monitor it. It will be pretty easy to identify if my "bad idea" fails. There were no issues after my quick test run in front of my house. I'm not worried about potentially trashing the bearing. I have 9 more.

Perhaps a better solution would have been to fill the valley with some type of adhesive or coating that dries somewhat hard, and is sandable, so the shaft could be restored. Even better yet, would be replacing the shaft. But, I decided to try quick and dirty first.

Yup, and to make things worse there is another storm heading this way with ping pong golf ball sized hail.....
 
man that sucks! I had a friend a few years ago, that bought his first brand new car. He was excited and decided to do a cross country trip with it. Within the first week of ownership- he got caught by a heavy hail storm that totaled out his car.
 
Installed a set of traxxas heavy duty arms (3655P) on the rear of my stampede. Got another pair for the front, but I want to see if these help with my pivot ball popping off issue first.

It happens nothing really I can do about it now, but I submitted a claim with my insurance company. I wonder if Jake is going to call me :ROFLMAO:

Are those new? I saw a thread where someone mentioned them on the other forums a few weeks ago and was like I have never heard of those before.

They are "new'ish" I think. Pretty sure they came out around when the rustler 4x4 came out, may have been before that, but that's when I first read about them.
