Was last Friday...

Surpass Rocket 4092 1650KV into the outcast with a new cooler and alloy framed fans:

Wish the motor wires were another inch or so longer. I desoldered the ends, cut a notch and soldered them parallel to the chassis. Allows the wires to move some before getting tight, but I had to run them over the top of the cooling fans. :(

I increased the pinion up from 15T to 18T. Might see if I have a 19T when the new TRB hybrid bearings come in for the motor. It howled quite a bit. Not sure if I was just overly sensitive to it or what since this was the first time I ran the outcast since last year. Been running the stampede and ERBEv2, which are quieter.

Moved the blx 4074 2050kv with dual fans over to my stampede. Should do just fine on 4S again vs the old HPI Tork 4074 2200kv I had in it. I bumped the pinion up from 15T to 16T to compensate a bit for the lower KV... it's still stupid fast. :)

@GaryC Love your workbench! :ROFLMAO: Seriously, I have a really big workbench in the garage and another nice area I work on other hobby stuff in the office, but I spend half my time working on the kitchen table so I can be in the same room as my wife. :)

HAHAHA!...it's the best place right now lol...it's too cold to be out in the garage right now. Once temps get warmer I'll be out there though...plus me and the lady are in the middle of moving so the garage is cluttered 🤦🏻😄

Got the new TP 4060-CM 2080kv installed in the Limitless 😍 can't wait to see what this motors going to push🤘 Hoping it's not windy tomorrow so I can see what it will do compared to the spektrum 2050kv, leaving today's gearing to see what a difference the TP motor makes and hoping to break my overall PB of 125 on 8s but with 6s this time💪

How long before half of the top ten slots have your name in them? ;)

burn out GIF
I can hope! Set a big goal for this year to try and hit 150 so will be a long road!

Doing some servo work adding a DS3235 sg to the senton but have to take some parts from the big rock and add the stock servo from senton to the bigrock until I get my replacement pieces for the bigrock lol. I needed something to do and figured take me a bit 😆

Put new aluminum diff cups in the K8S, changed the brakes on the wife’s 1:1 and replaced that broken toilet seat! 😉

Bashers- loctited another steering rod attachment screw into the EX-broken, found another grub to replace the errant one from the 4s Kraton cvd. Reglued some cheapo amazon tires for one of the redcats- time to get those suckers running again.

Crawlers- put some overdrive gears (tgh wild set from super shafty) into the front portals on the capra. I added the heavy samix portal covers while I had it apart. That should make it reeediculous on pull ups and ledges. Not sure how much longer this thing will be a capra. I could see this thing getting turned into an lcg cheater truck real easily.
I got my dsfabworks goblin chassis rails for the scx24 today, too, but they're not a direct swap for the taco'd gspeed rails (body mounts & wench ain't compatible with them), so they'll have to wait until I get ahold of enough parts for a full build.

Kept working on the MEXB build. Replaced towers, wheel hexes, preloaded shocks, adjusted droop and body mounts, added CF center brace, mounted motor, trimmed side skirt to fit 2028 can, installed 34T pinion and GRPs

So, have ya ever mucked up simple maintenance so bad that you ended up with an extra wire?
20210407_194538.jpg

I had to take my smoker apart to clean out the cement in the auger tube (left it uncovered in last week's blizzard & filled the hopper with snow). When I put it back together, this yellow wire with green stripe fell out the bottom. Here's the frustrating part. I can't tell what I broke. Everything works fine! My son said it would likely burst into flames. I said it was supposed to. We don't know what to expect now...

@Pat_ranch It's a ground wire, purely for safety. Everything will work fine but if something goes wrong you will get electrocuted.
Check around your power box. Typically ground to chassis or similar. Looks like the 'o' on one side broke off, looks like it was pinched, anywhere near a hinge.

put the 1730kv back into the outcast, back to 100% ready to drive.

got some progress made on my K8S MEGATRON, built the new diffs with metal diff cases. Got the vitavon hubs dialed in with shims 👌🏻 and got it on its wheels.
