Not just servos, esc wires, lights ect.. 😉

Plus I HATE soldering! So if I can change the end’s instead, I will. 🤣

I love soldering! So long as you got good solder its pretty fun anyway. If you got crap solder or dirty wires its no fun.

Soldering old junk wires on cars/trucks and trailers and such sucks more then not because of burnt wires 😂

(Stupid mechanic stuff)

I don't know your opinion of 1/16th scale Traxxas trucks but mine is pretty low right now. My daughter wants Mini Digger to live again (a rebodied 1/16 Summit). She handed me a paper bag and said "here you go". The truck has been dead for years. I figured out what was wrong with it and it's mostly together now. Here's a pic of what I was given to work with and where I am now.

Love a good puzzle on a rainy night 🌙 🤣

Today i-
Finished up the buick I was working on the other day. Threw new balance shaft chain and timing chain/guides in and got it done and out.
Then pulled in an equinox that needs the balance shaft chain and timing chain. Kinda like ground hogs day. Same exact engine in these two vehicles. Same exact job minus pulling the pan on the buick to find a broken bolt🤣

No rc wrenching today 😢

Did the people that do not like to solder or will never solder again, use any solder flux?
And please stick with the lead-containing solder for DIY purposes, it works easier and better.
I've been able to get things soldered okay, just have nerve issues with hands these days. Fingertips get numb pretty quickly working with that tiny wire, lol.

This.
I was taught how to solder when I was a little kid by my dad, and I still solder exactly the same way he taught me. I use paste flux, and tin my wires/connectors before soldering. Rosin core solder is ok, but you’ll always achieve better results using flux.

Perhaps I should try that.. I have both, but always grab the rosin core in haste..

For long wires I tend to just fold them back on themselves and wrap them in heat shrink, keeps them out of the way and is not permanent. (y)

Or on servo wires you can wrap them around a screwdriver and heat them. They will hold that curl and be much neater.
