I am not an expert, but I know that the Max 6 is good for a (was) 6s EXB it is a small 8s set up but a big 6s set up. I would do the 4985 SL-1650KV. if you don't want to pay that much here is a 6s from Spektrum https://www.spektrumrc.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=SPMXSEMC05
Also you can find a nice deal on eBay for a new combo or used.

Thanks for the help man. Is the 4985 - 1650 for the 8S? I have decided I am gonna buy the 8S EXB. Also, what servo would you go for? Thanks again :)

The 4985 SL-1650KV is 8s But I would get the
5687 SL-1100KV since it has more torque. even with the 1100KV motor the

the firma 160a brushless smart esc / 1250kv sensorless motor combo is = to the Max6 combo. I don't know much about servos, this is the stock on for the 8s line SPMS905, here is a deal you can't pass up it is from Jenny's

If I understand you correct, you want electrics for an 8S EXB, not a 6s EXB.
Go with an XLX2 ESC and between 800kv and 1100kv. Others may steer you better. But this is where I would start, with an 8s EXB rig personally.

HW or CC alternatives.....8s gear can get $$$ if you want all out power.
But we are talking a 30 pound'ish Rig.
So it's pretty much relative to that rig platform.
The OC/Kraton 8s rigs peak my interest, just that I never pulled the plug for this reason.
Maybe I am still a lightweight. :unsure:These rigs are not for the faint of heart.:D

I really appreciate that. Not entirely sold that the Kraton 8S is capable of 204.3mph, but hey what do I know :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
I have seen Kevin at Paddlesworth but not met him. I have met Pat and 8S Steve though! :)
