Hi,

Could having low / no oil in the diffs cause permanent damage or is it just a case of the car handling badly but then filling them up corrects the issue and away you go again?

Same question for shocks.

New to this and just trying to figure if I need to check all this stuff straight away or not.

Thanks.

Quicker wear, grinding, and a whole ton more of issues.

If it wasn’t important they wouldn’t tell you to service and fill them in the manual. And maybe more convincingly is that if it was unnecessary they’d leave it out and save the pennies per unit to increase profit. So yea keep the diffs and shocks filled or you’ll end up with some bad days rc’ing.

It is not uncommon for the diff cups to melt when they are too low, especially the center on the 6s models.
Now the shocks as long as they aren't completely dry the only thing that is going to happen is your car will handle like a Walmart throw away rc car, you could possibly damage the o-rings.
