I just installed the T-Bone Wheelie Bar (version 2), pretty excited only I have to go to work in a hour. No time to test it out today unfortunately.

I just installed the GPM steering kit, Turnbuckles, voltage hobbies front mount and SRC terrain crusher Wheels. Now I’m getting ready to make some mud guards out of kydex.

So last week, I got a set of Louise Pioneer tires from the Hobbyking sale. They are silly huge, bigger than I expected. But decided to try them anyways. Sunday, my son and I get to run it, and it is just silly - bump the throttle, and it wheelies or flips over on it's back, (won't do a full backflip on 4s) and if you feather the throttle to get it up to speed,, massive ballooning at 3/4 throttle... But 15 minutes in, the front diff give up. No power to the wheels, I suspect a sheared pin.

So yesterday, my son tears into it (his truck, he works on it). We get the diff open, and the sheared pin is painted white. WTF? Then I remembered - about a year ago, we lost a pin while rebuilding the diff, so I clipped a piece of coat hanger to get us running again. The truck has been running a year on a piece of coathanger.... LOL

New proper pin now installed, ready to bash again. :)

Finished the body, my first paint experience. It didn’t come out that great.
First of all your paint Scheme is awesome, the truck body is awesome, love to Chevys, had a real one just like it. Practice makes perfect, consider that your practice job. Did my first paint on an X Maxx body Last Summer. Not the best job in the world but it is just going to get beat anyway, lol.

Cleaned it up and silicones it after the pics. And it looks like my V3 has grease in the diffs or is this what used silicone fluid looks like?[/QUOTE]

It’s normal!

So I was backyard bashing my Kraton today and broke the front right turn buckle tie rod. So here’s my quick fix I came up with for it. Took a infant liquid medicine plunger case and cut it in half. Stuck the tie rod in and put loctite plastic bond in. Probably won’t last long but it’s a temporary fix until I get new tie rods in that I ordered on eBay. Your thoughts on this anyone Or have better ideas for fixing it? Any comments are welcome.

Today, I put an Arrma face grill on my Kraton. Also installed Voltage Hobbies front upper & lower suspension pin mounts. Then, sadly, I removed the Voltage Hobbies servo mount and steering center link, which I replaced with parts almost identical made by EMP. Picked them up on EBay for 25.00 for the set, very good quality. 15213429063151023654141.jpg 1521342981180538954274.jpg

The EMP servo mount is almost identical to the Voltage Hobby servo mount, and the center link is very good quality also. They are still available as a set on Ebay, but for some reason they have been relisted for $333 & $444.

After I received the set and saw the quality I was going to pick up another set for a future build, but price wasn't $25 anymore. I have messaged seller but he has not changed the price back.

Took my Kraton to the local high school, ran it up and down the hill out back, and across the soccer fields. Made my way towards the baseball area and had a flip. Once upright I tried to go forward and was motionless. Kraton would not move at all. Upon closer inspection I found grease everywhere, then for the center diff had flown apart! How does this even happen?20180318_123644.jpg
