Hi!

I just bought new Talion 6s 2014 first version, new, not used. It was a mistake actually, because I wanted 2018 version, but they look same and the vertion wasn't mentioned in online shopt :) Anyway, I'm trying to understand what is the main difference between two of these cars? What makes new version cost $100 more?

Thank you.

Just to make sure you have this Talion.

Chassis.
Shocks.
Shock towers.
Battery tray.
Hubs.
Stub axles.
Body.
Tires.
Motor.
ESC.

It’s a great truck. Looking at that body makes me wonder why they stay with the red. I wouldn’t go changing a bunch of stuff right away. The 2018 and 2019 are lower with the biggest difference being the wider shock towers. If it has an Orange esc you might want to spend the 60bucks or so for the BLX185 as it is more reliable and there were some issues with the Orange blx180.
I think the older versions also have smaller inner wheel bearings than the newer. If you start toasting wheel bearings you could change out the hub carriers, axles, and hexes. The newer version tires are really nice on almost any surface. I love them on my Kraton.
My advice always just leave your car stock and spend money on more 6s lipos and a good charger. As things break or wear out than maybe up grade to newer “better” parts.
I think this is an over view of yours.

Not bad truck. Of esc is red/orange, its not a good deal. V2 to v3, there are many difference. Also v1 rims are too fragile. Rim break cause tire damage . I would cook tires and install new rims. U MUST shim diffs. Too much work. If u can return, don't wait. Or sell with $50 lose even.

The V2 Talion was my favorite. Don't care for the V3 or V4.
