I am curious what kind of motor is in a tesla?

I would assume they would want maximum efficiency and low maintenance so I would imagine its just a Giant Leopard 58113 motor.

hahah or big leopard 58113
58mm brushless motors are cute and tiny compared to what is in a Tesla.

Even the TP Power TP100LX is really the motor you should have your eyes set on

HOLY CRAP that tp 100lx is huuuuge. I am trying to find a video on it but don't see anything anywhere.

Looking into some more detail i am totally surprised about the tesla gear ratio. There is a huge 4.5:1 reduction gear directly on the motor. And the total gear ratio, on for example the dual-motor model S has a 9.73:1 in the front, 9.34:1 in the back. That would mean those motors make high rpm's, at least more than i expected.

I ran some tests with a 5894 on a quad, using a torque converter, that was acceptable. Limited battery capacity and durability reasons let me abandon the project. And that I fixed the original 350cc engine.
