with using a tp motor, does that sacrifice a battery space??Assuming you want to stay in the original motor position the 1717 is a great option.
With the optional Arrma 50 series motor mount you could also run a TP Power 5660 3Y (1920 KV)
For TP Power the first 2 digits of the number indicate the motor diameter in millimeters.with using a tp motor, does that sacrifice a battery space??
Got mysystem installed today. For TP Power the first 2 digits of the number indicate the motor diameter in millimeters.
So for the 5650 that would indicate a 56mm diameter can.
The second 2 digits are not a measurement but rather a series. The 50 series is one of their shorter cans at 83mm for the V2 or 70 for the V3 model.

The factory motor placement in the front (allowing the retention of both battery trays) allows up to a 86.5mm length motor.
This is an image of the HobbyWing Max6 combo for example which is a 49x86.5 motor (This would be another solid option for a motor)
