Arrma RC's
  1. Notorious
  2. Talion
  3. Typhon 6s
I complain enough about parts that break and don't last, figured I would start a thread about parts that have been surprisingly durable on my Arrma rigs.

Suspension arms- broke 1 on my 3s Typhon when the rear left arm landed first on a huge rock. Other than that, never had another problem with them in over a year.

Shocks- never an issue with 6s shocks.

Bearings- as much as I've read how bad the bearings are in Arrma rigs, I haven't noticed them going out any faster than Fast Eddy's, Jims, TRB, etc.

Spektrum servo- in all fairness I've upgraded to stronger servos for better steering, but have run a few dozen packs with stock servos and zero problems other than not very strong.

What stock parts have you been surprised at the durability?

6s chassis, front hubs, diffs.. just really haven't had any unexpected failures with my Arrmas. Sure, I've broken some arms and shock rod ends but, nothing that wasn't expected or warranted..
I don't hear of many issues with the mojo chassis but plenty bend the kratons. I suppose it really depends on just how hard we run 'em..
Overall, I think the 6s Arrma's are stellar. I just wish more of them were available as rollers myself, or, better yet, KITS!! I know, never happen..but I can dream still right? 😉

Where to I start?
3s: Diffs, slipper clutch, arms, spurs, centre driveshafts, shock towers. I don't have a problem with any of those. Touch wood 🪵.

But maybe I'm not trying hard enough. I need some lessons from @joshludden 😆
3S chassis. Have them all since they came out and haven’t broken one.
Same. I bought a used 3s Typhon with a fractured chassis but I've never broken one myself.

Chassis... **knock on wood**

Seems everyone is talking about replacing their chassis, or upgrading to m2C or scorched on the 6s stuff.

Only minor bending (can still run) on the rear of my KEXB, and only cracked one 3s chassis, but that was after crashing from 20 feet in the air onto metal bleachers. Can't say i was surprised about that one ;)

I haven't experienced any of the Arrma 3s line myself. I am very tempted by the v2 4s however..
I don't break much due to my driving style but pretty sure I hold the record for tire blowouts (4) in first 30 days.
You gotta lighten up with that pimp hand(finger) Johnny!!🤣🤣🍻

Typhon TLR suspension mounts. I keep reading that the TLR is less durable than the normal Typhon because it has the plastic, adjustable hinge pin mounts.

But this thing has been super durable. I’ve driven it hard and not a single issue.

I was actually gonna none of em, cuz I can wreck stuff I don't see many other people wreck 😆

Not much anymore since I got better at driving. Well, except for the occasional stupid ‘I should know better’ move. If anything, I’ll wear certain parts out more than break them. But the main thing that comes to mind are hub carriers. I still break an occasional front one and the rear ones seem to wear out fairly quick.

Shock rod ends and arms, mainly from bad landings off ramp. Busted up some CF side skirts on road rig.

Never blew a tire on any rigs, especially most ran one, my Senton 3s. Surprised alot of people have an issue with that. 🤷‍♂️

Def break less with more practice/experience. 👍😁✌️

Totally forgot about 6s chassis. I've only had to replace my limitless chassis after crashing into a curb at speed. Exb chassis definitely been good enough for me 😎 👍

Same here

If the EXB chassis is good enough for Rich Duperbash...I think that says a fair bit to its durability. Yes, the man has some amazing air control, but when he eats it, he eats it good n proper. Nothing is unbreakable, but they really can take a hiding.

Not to rain on your parade, but I've seen fellas do that in under 15 minutes on the first set of lipos in their Infraction. There's always room for improvement is all I'm saying. :)
