Yeah so I'm just about to start off with nitro cars and I was just wondering what's the current limit that I should enter into my venom battery charger?

1C is considered fast charging for NiMHs, so 1.6A. If it gets hot toward the end of the charge cycle, reduce current. If you're not in a hurry, use less current to get more cycles out of the pack...

One question my charger keeps on saying current break what does that mean?

Can any one help me with this issue?

^what he said, you get this message when trying to charge a lipo with no balance connector. Did you select the right program?

@talion newbie 248 ,
Charge it below 1c nice and slow( maybe 1.0 amp or even lower is perfectly fine) Reason is that this is a BEC battery and Nimpacks will give longer use between cycles if they are charged slower. Also you will get many more cycles from it. You don't want it to charge and even get warm at all. Charging at a higher rate will make it dump faster. Nim packs have a memory like Older Nicads as to how they are charged. Very unlike a Lipo or Lion. Since this Nimpack becomes your BEC in essence, you need it to be usable throughout your whole day of bashing. It must power your 2 servos and Rx simultaneously for at least an hour or better. Just my experiences with Nitro and Nimpacks in the past. Good luck.:cool:
edit:
BTW, it may take a few charge/discharge cycles before you start to get the best performance and run time out of it. Typical of all Nim packs. Also its best that if you are not using it for a while, ie storing them for several weeks or more that they be left fairly discharged, but just not completely dead. Not good to store them fully charged for months.

Oooooor, check if the Rx and servo support up to 8.4V and go with a 2s lipo :)

Got that same charger, it does that to me when a battery lead is broken or a charging lead is broken, or if something inside the battery got disconnected.

Excellent point @nino!
I find even the best Lipo chargers that can charge Nims can be daunting to setup. They are not really user friendly for Nims. Been there. Instructions don't focus regarding much except charging Lipos/Lions. But it can be done.
My Sky RC charger has a Nimpack auto feature. But you have to set the Delta Peak to around 7 threshold. My HM d6 duo does it differently too. I had to play around to get it to work. Instructions for both charger were lacking about Nims and Nicads. Back in the day trickle charging was typically used with wall chargers.Took many hours to charge but the Packs lasted long. I could run almost a quart of fuel no issue before the nimpack was dead. But both my chargers have a trickle setting as well. If you select it. I think the Pro track Nitro guys are using Lion packs at 7.4 volts to get thru 1 hour mains these days.

I charge My nimpack on a SkyRc charger. A single channel version of your charger. Different brand. But my charger and yours are same software based.
My pack is thhe same as yours. I hav eto boot mine up to guide you. I believe yo have to use the larger red and bl ck out put from your charger. I have the same ports. In your picture you are trying to charge from the Lipo balance leads. NG.

You're gonna need something like this... one is a jumper lead the other is actual charging lead. Just look up, receiver charging leads with banana leads or jumpers

look for a way to plug it as @slick2500 shows.
Get that connected to the battery as above, observe pos and neg. When you are done we can guide you at the charger's Battery setup screen.
