LOL.. That would mean the current managed energy situation would have had to do nothing from the previous and we would be in a better situation. Your very own logic at work!(y) When you close down key oil rigs (Alaska and GOM) in FEB of 21 by not renewing the leases, you now have created push inflation AKA supply and demand. Less supply with growing demand always = MO MONEY. Economics 101. This lesson is free.
LMAO, you don't believe O had anything to do with your cult leaders success but are willing to toss that in my direction to "prove some misguided truths". Explain why fuel price were increasing at The end of the previously managed " energy indonpendance" time in US history?? Funny we were still importing oil during that "independence"... why was that?? I will never excuse the actions of The to justify my living comfortably at the expense of future generations. Alternative fuel sources are out there but you deny their merit. You wanna become independent, then you'll have to rely less on the "LIMITED RESOURCES" we're currently tied to. Extracting fossil fuel sources isn't the fix, finding new ways to supply energy is. Transition isn't easy, but it's funny how most nations are on board with this concept except for the largest countries/ abusers in the world.

You're doing such a great job, please explain everything you're asking me, I'd love to learn!

What transition? We don't produce Oil like we did. The Plug was pulled without any backup plan. We have enough oil to source here in the US for the next 400 years. And why should we rely on China for everything including Solar panels and Lipo batteries?
Go Green never had a Plan. Just pulling the Oil plug to serve their socialist agenda screwed us over.
That's like saying Water is no good for us. So lets stop producing water and find something else to drink without having it in place. Stupid logic.
Our Gasoline here is the cleanest fuel in the world. China has the worst. China will never go Green. They are liars. So we will need to suck their pollution??? All while we buy their goods? China is the dirtiest polluted nation in the world. (90% of their water ways are always toxic at any given time)
Don't get me started.

This is not the place to discuss this!

You're right, not the place.
3.39/ gal for regular
4.29 for diesel within a mile of my residence.
Not what it was, but as usual it's improving, much like it has since the 70's...

We can continue to have other countries do our dirty work or we can risk
oil spills and environment disasters in our own back yard. Companies save time and money by manufacturing
in China where throwing black crap in the air 24/7 is ok. We can do that in our own country but we dare not piss on ourselves.
Bottom line...IMHO...it's a small ass rock we live on and we all screwed if we don't get our stuff together...TOGETHER.
Now play nicely my friends.🙂

I guess this will only pertain to those who believe that oil production is risky and that a factory without regulations is dangerous.

one day I'll learn to stfu.

Update but this is typical in our area.
Today 8/19

Tampa Gas 3.49
Pinellas (work) 3.09

Usually a 30-40c gap over last 6 month. Prior to that it was the other way round by about 10c
Yes, they get it from the same refinery, equal distance etc

Dunno. I only fill up like once a month, if that. Everything is so close and I don't go out often. Don't like people/crowds much anymore. 😁

I don't like morning people, or mornings, or people. :giggle:
I love mornings.. ..but alone, in quiet with my coffee, morning cigg (maybe W&B if ain't got much to do that day ;)😁) and my Arrma Forum! (y)

Has anyone else seen a slight increase in gas price?? In Illinois gas was around $4.19 last week then went up to $4.59 and is now sitting at $4.38.
No, steady downtrend in our area.
Probably below $3 next week (wishful thinking)
