Talion What's your average motor temperatures on arrma talion v3?

My average is around 160° on motor and 100° on esc. On 13t pinion and 6s. Is this acceptable?

I believe 180+ is the "oh no" threshold, so while in the higher range, you're fine at 160 on the motor. if it's a concern, just let it rest a bit and cool off after 15 minutes of runtime or so, specially if heavy bashing or running in tall grass, etc. The ESC should cut off due to thermal protection if it was getting too hot.

I picked up a yeah racing tornado dual fan for the motor and it works great if you feel you need to bring it down or want to run it longer without having to stop the fun.

I opted for the thermal pads to fill the contact points (which is a good idea anyways). They were super cheap on ebay. $2 with free shipping.

Do I need a Y connector?

Yeah I needed one for mine but a nice forum member made one for me so I wouldn't have to
they can easily be found on amazon, ebay, etc for a few bucks though.
