Here's my ec5 to deans adapter story. I purchased one from a lhs power hobby and it had a cold solder. Took it to shadow lhs and they soldered it for me but it failed again. I ordered a few more online and those worked fine. Deans is rated at 60amps and our esc is rated at 100amps. I decided to buy AS150 connectors so about to solder those on now and I'll let you know. But the adapter should be fine for you. I just got the first champion 80c 3s goldbat and the resistance was 1ohm1ohm4ohm. Very happy with that. The non champions that I got from florida ebay for $20 ea. are showing like 30ohms. Then I saw the soft pack so I ordered one and it came and the cells also had very low ir. Just ordered another softpack. If I didn't check on the charger I wouldn't know the previous 50c regular packs had such high ir, they rip. So excited to run these new 80c models. Waiting on diff input gear and gluing up a mountain of tires.

My 50c 3s 5200's have high resistance. Not sure if it was just from my ebay seller. They still rip and have a lot of punch but I got antsy and sold all four packs to my buddy. They were $20 ea. so I'm lucky I got rid of them all at once and started buying the 80c champions which show really low ir readings of 1ohm per cell. Take a look at the 100c 2s versions: https://www.amazon.com/GOLDBAT-5200...rds=goldbat+champion+2s&qid=1610511678&sr=8-2
Those champions look great good thing I didn't order the ones off ebay.

I don't use 2s but for those who do, $36 for two 100c batteries: https://www.amazon.com/GOLDBAT-5200...pion+2s+goldbat+battery&qid=1610644396&sr=8-2 Those look great with 100c and the price for two. But if you want even cheaper: $22 for two 50c batteries. https://www.amazon.com/Battery-5200...ords=2s+goldbat+battery&qid=1610644502&sr=8-5

Yes I thought $30 for two was a good deal until I saw the two for $20 lol. Those are 50c and to step up to 100c have to pretty much double it to $36 but dang what a good deal. I'm running to the lhs to grab a input gear for the diff. I can't wait to run these 3s champions.

New "budget" lipo of choice, Zeee 6s 100c 6000mah. Started using it in my Typhon 6s speed run build, but recently started using it in my Notorious and Kraton. No lag at all and very good run times. Not as good as my Ace Gens same spec, but for almost half the price I am happy with the purchase.

I can see the performance gain on my 8s trucks when I use my Turnigy Rapids 5500 140C that were like $68 instead of my cheap 6500 Youandme 60C rating that were $49 , but it's not much. The rapids do look way better built. We'll see how they take the 20ft+ abuse. I have damaged one of the youandme ones (it became unsoldered internally).

I had a similar experience with my Turnigy HD vs Ovonic batteries, I detailed my experience here https://www.arrmaforum.com/threads/turnigy-hd-vs-ovonic-air.24989/

Kind of strange how the place people always made fun of for having crappy stuff actually make some of the best performing batteries on the planet.

I'm only going to run 4s in my ET48 so I bought 2 2s batteries as they were cheaper than 1 4s, and I couldn't find any 4s hardcase high c rate bricks that were less than the Turnigy Rapids. All the Amazon and eBay stuff was only 50-60c.

Im having good luck with the hrb 6000mah 60c hardcase. They had the awesome hi current traxxas plugs on them when i had my slashes but i soldered ic5 conn on them now. Well over a 100 cyles on them and all cells balance equal. 🤷‍♂️
I bought a couple of those used off another member here like 2 years ago and I still use them in my HPI Vorza all of the time.

I do wish they had the leads so they came out the side of the case like the Goldbats do. I can't stack them in the Vorza because the leads come out of the top and they also don't fit in my Summit very well, luckily the Vorza tray was designed to run batteries like that and has little notches on either side of the tray to accommodate the battery leads.

WTF I can't find the 100c 2s lipos, that link brings me to 5200 3s 80c and so does the link when I click on purchased items.

Zee has 100c 2s for $18.99 in stock as of this post. Sorry no link I used the app, but searched “2s 100c lipo battery“. Wife got me 2-3s 6200mah 60c hoovo batts for Christmas. Her intentions were good is what I was thinking when I opened them, but I gotta say they perform as good as my spektrum 100c pack and cost less for the both of them. Came with Ic5 connectors and balanced good too. Will report back after some more use if they go downhill.

Here is a link is for” zee 2s 100c” search, couldn’t leave you hanging :)

These Hoovo 3s batteries are way thinner than any other 3s batteries I've seen so far. They are the same thickness as the hardcase lectron pros 2s batteries. They are only a little taller. Interesting. They don't look too cheap though.

Yes, looks like they changed it. They had two 100c 2s batteries for $36. And now the link... I don't see it.

Yea, you're not crazy. The owner changed it because if you search google there is a title with the 2s 100c and when you click on it, it opens amazon to the revised page. lol They probably ran out and you luckily got the last ones.

When I got into this hobby about a year ago, I quickly found out that cost can be a barrier to entry if you make bad purchases and bad decisions. When I decided to make the switch to LiPo batteries, I did a ton of research on "budget" LiPo batteries on various online forums. I was looking for a battery that was reliable, good quality, and one that would not break the bank. With that being said, I decided on 2 suppliers: SPC Racing Batteries and SMC Racing Batteries. I run a 5000mAh, 50C, 2S SPC Racing LiPo ($33) in my Fury BLX and could not be happier with the performance. I also run a pair of 2500mAh, 50C, 2S SPC Racing LiPos ($20 each) in my mini E-Revo and a 5000mAh, 50C, 3S SMC Racing LiPo ($40) in my Axial Yeti.

So, what's your battery of choice? Hopefully this thread can help out someone who is just getting into the hobby or someone who is looking for a different pack to try.
A GREAT CHOICE IS ZOP LIPOS RECOMMENDED BY ME THEY ARE CHEAP AND NEVER FAIL, REALLY I WENT ACROSS THE SPECTRUM OF LIPOS FROM MAXAMPS THERE NOT WORTH THE PRICE, TO ZOP VERY GOOD PRICE AND GREAT, JUST KEEP EM IN STORAGE MODE WHEN YOUR DONE. don't CHARGE THEM THEN USE THEM THE NEXT DAY, THEY WILL LAST FOR YEARS. DAVE/DADDYO
