What's your opinion on nuclear energy?

Can't work:
1) politicians reek of greed & self interest. They're not doing it for us plain old civilians.
2) unless the bid is rigged, the lowest bidder usually gets the job. Something aboot that kinda bugs me when we're talking nukes...

Yep we have a place nearby in Lake Erie called Warm Water Bay. It’s like a hot tub. If you wanna see something scary, check out this map of Great Lakes temps. Now you can see why Toledo had a water crisis a few years ago.

Exactly. Plus there are other unknown effects. Their impacts can be small. Or world changing. Take the bee for example. Never before has their impact on maintaining all life been as widely known as today. Whose to say we are not destroying more than just a few lakes?

About that hot cooling water. Can't you just use a cooler on that, using the power of the plant? That would lessen the effects of hot water

There is a lot of inefficiency in using the electricity you just generated by heating that water to cool it back down. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Better yet, hook up a few of them sky fan bird killers to send it through an intercooler before releasing it. Problem solved.;)
PSHP is a great idea for areas with elevation. Wouldn’t work around here, but wind and solar are popular. We have a bunch of turbines nearby.

I'd rather waste that energy than kill fish. Warm water takes up more CO2, wich suffocates fish

In countries with lots of coastline, off shore wind parks are great
