I use wd40 gel lube excellent stuff,,,can be used on bearings,,,,even on diffs believe it or not,,,no issues here...Yes, ducks love water!
But seriously, if you spray it off with water, use WD-40 on the bearings and other metal parts. After the WD-40 dries follow it with a dry lube spray as @Brandon said. WD-40 makes a dry lube that works pretty well.
