My only little comment would be for maximum visibility at distance you may want to consider painting either side a different color. One side red, one side blue. Something like that. You could instantly tell which way it’s going that way.

I could paint the underside of the rear diffuser hi-viz yellow?. Can't see from above but at a distance it could be visible. Kinda depends on how much being in the shade hides the color though

Unless they were VERY bright, they will be hard to see on a sunny day. I tried orange leds on the rear of my Typhon and I could not see them 800ft out.

Like you said, no matter how bright the lights, I couldn't see them in the Texas sun. I'll just use my phones camera to zoom and make sure it's facing the correct direction if need be

Maybe a bit of prism tape where the headlights go, would reflect quite well in bright sunlight. Alright, now ya got me grasping at straws.
