One thing you could do is slow down the steering movement with an aftermarket radio to make the movement look a little more realistic.

He did .
3D printed the drive wheels
And several portions of the track assemblies.
Installed the motors , receiver , servo . It couldn’t have been “easy” I have not the time or the patience to do it .

Been kicking around some ideas for my sons Christmas gifts this year .
Last year I (Santa) picked up one of these Bruder 9620 John Deere tracked tractors for my youngest.
Boy loves tractors
Green ones especially!!!!
He is fairly well versed in the RC world I I built him up his first lil 1/10 truck when he was like 3
He also has an ECX AMP at the moment, and operates it with some controlled chaos!!
It’s been brought to my attention that his tracked John Deere tractor would be “so much cooler if it was RC” !!
He’s not wrong !!!
Would it be great bonding time to take on the build by ourselves?
Absolutely!
Would it take a month of Sundays and most likely some or a lot of tears to complete said project?
Uhm ya
Would it be done by Christmas of THIS year ?!
I doubt it !!!!
Does anyone do custom builds such as this ?
I’ve watched a couple You tube vids of guys doing this exact Bruder RC conversion and if one had time it wouldn’t be “that big of a deal” maybe !!!
I have bigger tractors to work on all the time and am looking for someone to facilitate this project .
I of course i want forward , reverse, and steering!
(Or articulation) if you will ….
Anyone know who does custom RC Builds?

Mfer wants a semi
But not a big one dad
Just one I can drive with tandem axels
Doors , cab , sleeper , and a trailer so I can haul wood and “stuff”
No poop
He has no idea how bad I want to build said SEMI
I’ve sourced a 28hp engine , was considering using an old golf cart frame so as it’s wide enough for 2 riders ….
But I’ve had difficulty finding golf cart chassis…
I figured I could use trans from the hydrostatic riding mower so he has reverse and several forward gears ….
The mechanical build is not that big of a deal to me .
But I am not artistic!!!!
I could build this mini SEMI with a MFn landallhaulall hydraulic trailer…..
Fully functional
But the moment I attempt to “build” his frickin cab
It’ll look like a 4 yr old built it !!!!
He may still love this future/ near project….
But he probably ain’t gonna like dad’s cardboard or plywood semi cab !!!!!
High maintenance lil bastard!!!!

That’s how I was when I was younger lol

just going to put this out there, Tamiya has some pretty darn good Semi truck kits. Got one last year and was a breeze to assemble. The scale is also pretty good with the Bruder Toys. I have a trailer that looks good with my snowcat.
Wait I just read it again.. he wants a person sized one. Oops

It reminds me of catching neighbors field on fire with a couple HK 23 and HK 21 belt feds doing a demo for a couple cops back in the day …..

I didn’t : don’t use tracers but evidently they linked some belts with tracers and poof field caught on fire
Farmer had to bring his tractor and disc a fire line to get it to stop burning!!!!
Bastards didn’t even buy any guns !!!
