Great video!

My hand tools are almost all Craftsman, and my power tools tend to run to Makita or Bosch. Had my Makita cordless drill for over 20 years now, and other than getting new batteries several times, it just keeps chugging along.

The one that surprised me was the company that owns Fluke, Tektronix, and Keithly. I've used equipment from these companies my entire career, and it's almost sad to see them go under one company.

This reminds me of the craft beer industry.

What's even more fun is finding out where your tools are actually manufactured. That's the real eye opener.

When I wanted to get away from Dewalt angle grinders I found a deal on Hitachi and a specific model that is manufactured in Germany. Sure it's more than I truly need but I'll probably never burn up this grinder.

15lbs of angle grinder sucking up 15amps that's designed by the Japanese and manufactured by Germans? Yes, sir, I'll take one of those.
