Wow, how didn't I know that dean's was compatible with EC5? And it works! Wouldn't have bothered changing over from deans on all my batteries ;)

The "blades"/edges of the Dean's connector doesn't really provide enough surface area contact to allow for high current flow..

But, I guess it will give you a way to charge the lipo in a pinch...

That's exactly the situation here. I forgot the adapter when I took my crawler out this afternoon (I'm waiting for the stock ESC to take a dump running on 3s, so i haven't changed over). Wasn't able to drive another 20 minutes back home and then 20 minutes back there with an impatient wife and family in tow. So turns out, it's more than enough of a connection than needed for crawling! Connected didn't get hot. Wouldn't do it for anything other than "emergencies".

Under any other circumstance, this would have been a NO.
