Kraton Why not 5s instead of 6s?

Been wondering. Seems to me the sweet spot for the 6s series would be 5s. Mostly I drive 4s Lipos in the 6s series (exeption Infraction always 6s). And sometimes feel I need a pinion with one or two teeth more. Wear and tear just goes up drastically with 6s. Is there technical reason or a marketing reason why 5s won't work?

Lots of escs don't support it. I sometimes use 5s on my mamba monster x in my mojave exb. Works a dream.
 
I've run 5s and 7s with h-wing escz.gotta turn lvc off or esc thinks packs are dead.great options for certain applications like ,pushing motors toward there limits, weight,100 grams can change a race setup, when 4s isn't enough but 6s is to much,wear an tear,5s in the summer rips ,less overheating .the quikruns can be locked on 5s.

I bought 2-2s. 2-3s .2-4s cheap hovoo all 5200mah and 80c an I could use 2 throu 8s with 6 packs total.worked great with no issues.

I know quite a few used to run 5S in their savage flux trucks to make it easier to drive, but faster than 4S. I just put in a trans with a center diff and run 6S...

Other than having initial diff issues, I don't really notice much more wear on my outcast running 6S for a year vs running 4S before it. I break stuff more... but that's what arrma life is all about. Launch it or work on it. :)
 
I don't know what the reason is. Some go into NiMh Mode to trick the esc. Shows it's technically possible.

The market would supply 5s pretty fast.
Using two 3s 5000mAH hardcase parallel and on top of each other won't work anyway in Typhon or Kraton. Too little space and securing during bashing not too good. I would switch to 5s if i could without changing ESC.
