Guys, I have my first RC in the post, Typhon 6s. I did have a BRCC 3s on order until I was told there’s a 2 month delay, minimum. Anyway, I now have 2 hardcase 3s lipo and am worried they will not fit in the Typhon.
Appreciate any advice.
thanks.

First thing you should have done is get the measurements for your battery tray and get the measurements for the batteries you just ordered.

The way you have this worded would be like me saying "I just bought new shoes without knowing my size, will they fit me"

I doubt they will fit as others have tried with double packs. Body fitment is usually the problem sometimes. Best to use a single 3s, 4s or 6s Brick in the Typhon 6s.
But this varies by Lipo and brand dimension wise. Why don't you try and fit it first??? To see for yourself. 🤷‍♂️

Sure. As mentioned, I had ordered a Big Rock and at the same time the two 3s lipos. When I got an update about the Big Rock delivery delay I already had the 3s lipos, as they were from another shop. So, I’ve got 2 Spektrum smart batteries and wondered if anyone else had them fitted in a Typhon 6s

Thanks. I will try this. It’s the Spektrum 6s combo pack they sell with the S2100 smart charger, so figured it would fit in the 6s Typhon

You do know that there are probably gabillions of hard lipo packs. If you had that info in your OP this thread would have been over with your question answered ;)

With rcz, anything can be done with some thought an some modifying.im fitting 2×4s packs with some modifying. (Raised body some)

There are big differences in the size of different lipos, especially 3s size. Even in one brand, they may have one 3s that is 25mm thick, and another that is 35mm thick. 2x 25mm will fit in a Typhon, but 2x 35mm won't.

Learn to read the specs before you buy Lipos. I know I have screwed up that step a few times, and bought lipos I can't actually use without modifying my car...

Ok, thanks all, I appreciate the input. I am going to return the two 3s packs and get a single 6 cell, as don’t want to start modding right of the bat.

Be sure and read the specs before you hit buy. Just like 3s packs, there are some short 6s packs, and some huge 6s packs...

Also watch the width. Our 6s battery trays can handle a 51mm pack, but it is very tight.

Length is not really an issue with the 6s battery tray.

Might as well keep the 3S packs for the Big Rock at least! Pick up some 6S packs for the Typhon if you aren't confident the 3S will fit, but the 3S can still be kept for other cars. If you have both you can always play around and see if the two 3S packs for the Big Rock fit in the Typhon.

What's the width of the two batteries together?and length of packs.
Ill check my measurements on my typhon I have the hot racing battery tray with 2 soft packs.
3rd pic you see a brace that's a short of battery you can use, the last hole is maximum length. The last pic is space you have between battery brace and spur I do run 46sput stock 50 spur may hit

When you land up side down the lipos get the full force of the crash. Would not do that. And the higher body gets more of the crash impact.

Heres my stretched 8s typhon raised mounts.129mph with ,but it never lands upside-down...for most 2×3s packs you must raise in bout 1/2 in. @Edough13 did a how to thread on fitting 3s packs if you gosearch in top right corner

That's right. If you crash with 129 mph it does not really matter where the lipos are positioned.

What tires are those?
