Soooo... Finaly I got my Limitless today! :D
I think it's not necessary to make an unboxing or something like this.

This thing is realy a beauty, even if it just stand anywhere at home

Normaly I am not a fan of blue colors but it looks realy nice in metallic and matt.
And I also didn't have a choice ;)
By the way, the stickers are not soo good, many bubbles. For me it would be great if Arrma gives all the stickers just on a sheet with this roller, so we can do it by our selfes and can also decide which sticker we want ?

So what is my plan with it...
My first thought was to put a Max6 in it with a 1900kV ... because of the long waiting time I had much time to think about all.
I am a motorsport fan but I don't like it to "just" go fast straight foreward :giggle:
(F1 is boring ... MotoGP is my porn ?)

So my plan now is to get it "ready to race" the streets.
The most important thing for me is to save weight as much as I can. (Thats the opposite of the most "beefy" and "oversized monster motor" threads here ?)
And also, to get it more ridable put a center diff in it.

So this is where we start 3.988g total for the stock roller.
I also try to get more weight to the rear with my components, I don't know if I use some extra weight for balancing ... we will see.

And these are the components I want to use for it.

I took the Corally with more torque than the high speed one - 0.08s/22.6kg is enough I think.
Torque is more important I think especially at cornering with higher speed.

For the diff oils I want to try 300k in front 300k in the center and 50k in the rear diff. (like the Mugen MGT7)
But at first I have to get out the play in the steering and the wheel mounting ? too much for a race car!

So at first I work on all the mechanical things before I build in the electronics and work on the body.
There are some things in my mind but I want to try it by myself first before I show it to you ?

So much for now.

P.S.: I take my time for all, this is no speed build log because the winter is near ?

I just picked mine up as well a week after my infraction arrived.I plan on putting the same system as the infraction for now until my son gets used to it. Need to know what servo is the best fit for this vehicle
Thanks

Yes, any brand should do this.

And maybe Arrma should sell this car as a kit, i mean a true kit, as many buy it for tweaking it out of the box.

I've found with my Infraction, if you decide to put a center diff in, the 50t spur gear is a good starting point. I personally feel, 20t pinion and 50t Spur is a really good combo! You get some great acceleration, decent top speed, and best of all - Lower temps all around! Great purchase! They are some sexy looking rigs! Thanks for sharing!

Edit: Sorry, if putting a stock BLX power system. You're not, so disregard, LOL. Though basing it off of an Infraction stock setup gear ratio wise, 18t Pinion and 46t Spur ran everything very hot!

Completely agree, ....it does look very, very good but Arrma definitely should of left the body shell clear imho so that we could all choose what colour to paint it as well as what stickers to add. Most other rollers that I know of always come with clear unpainted body shells.

Hope you enjoy your build. (y)

Man that's sweet, gonna be a dope build! ?

How about a Limitless RTR complete with the spectrum 8 S electronics with the DX5C radio and the 6100 receiver and 2 - 4 S batteries included

The first things are done... I stripped everything off the chassis.

IMG_20191115_160357.jpg

The first thing I noticed was that I need any kind of center brace... Without it, the chassis has too much flex, especially when all the electronics are built in.
So I have to think about it. But I have an idea ;)

The next thing I noticed was that my brace holder in the back is broken out of the factory

IMG_20191115_125116.jpg

I hope you can see it, it is broken on both sides. I hope some glue will work for the moment...

Next thing was to remove all the needles mounts an plastic pieces on the front and rear hubs. I also removed the big and heavy Reciever box and both lipo holders and turn around the motor mount.
I have a small motor but I don't want the weight in front...

While I wait for some parts I updated the rear Wing.
I found a rest of a carbon plate that was huge enough for the site plates of the wing. And I also cut the wing on top just because of optical reasons ;)

IMG_20191119_122209.jpg

The rear is now around 25g lighter than before, not much but a start :)

At next I have to think about a Servo holder and a lipo holder and of course of a brace

€dit: I also cut these huge front shovels :)

You need to replace those broken mounts asap. The brace is almost non-functional if there's play in that area. Not sure how it affects a race rig to be honest, but it will definitely flex more and glue won't hold it. Just saying, and I don't own one, but it seems integral to the design.

I think about a chassis brace where I don't need this support... But more of this later :)

BTW more body work to do...

Are you cutting out vents through that whole section? That first one is super clean. What are you using to cut it? Exacto knife?

I'm curious as well! If it's easier with his method then the method I recently learned. Maybe the same... Taking an Exacto Knife and heating up the blade will let that thing cut like whoa! Even the 3mm bodies. Just one of those recent learns to clean up new body projects after the initial scissor cuts.
