Wow! I’ve only had to limit less for one week, and drove it may be 10 times max. And I’m only running Mamba Monster X, with a 6s Arrma motor. I was going to put some time and effort in this one.... but now... I may not even rebuild it... Arrma tough my A&$!

wow! that thing got insanely hot.. my guess would be there was alot of chicken legging going on, to thin of diff oil... gears got super hot and the rest was history...

You let it get too hot. Do you have a temp gun? Arrma isn't perfect but it's plenty tough. It's just not idiot proof. I think 6S may be more than you can handle if you're not checking temps with a speed runner. How much do you want for it?

It’s been said that Arrma doesn’t always fill up their diff with enough oil.

Insufficient oil + plastic diff cup = kaboom.

lol.. not posi... chicken legger is a term used for open diffs.. (this is why we add thicker fluid to make it transfer power more evenly like a posi or a locker...in easier terms..one tire burning out while the other barely spins.. planetary gears are whipping up rpm and making heat.. then meltage ensues...?

Well looks like something seized and eventually broke. Arrma isn't the best when it comes to RTR or building cars in my opinion. I brought a Talion and the front differential was leaking from the factory. I recommend always doing a tear down of the internals and putting your own fluids and grease inside.

Great job. That’s a meltdown for sure. Simple fix. Replace the plastic drive cups with aluminum cups. Fill em up with your choice of fluid.

Some of you older guys might remember the smell of the Ford friction additive we use to add to our diffs? Stank of sh!t but damn that stuff worked great! I remember some guys couldn’t stand the smell so they use to throw in an entire banana in their diffs as a friction additive lmao

well, if your speed running it then there is no reason to steer constantly.. i would go as much wieght as possible...bare minumum 100k.. ?

I run silly puddy in my diffs for the cars that only do speed runs
Just make sure your front toe alignment is good or it will drive pretty awful.
